Legal
Terms
Last updated 1 April 2026. What you can do with this site, what happens when you send us a manuscript, and where our catalogue actually stands.
Using
this site
The text, illustrations, code and design on this site are ours or our illustrators’. Quote us, link to us and screenshot us freely. Do not republish whole pages, and do not scrape the site to train a model — that last one is a term, not a request.
Prices, running times and availability change. Where a title is listed as available through a retailer, that retailer sets the price and the terms, not us.
Sending
us work
Sending a submission does not create a contract and does not oblige us to do anything except read it and reply, which we will.
You keep every right in your work. We claim nothing by receiving it. We will not show it to anyone outside the four of us without asking you first.
We cannot promise confidentiality against coincidence. We read a few hundred submissions a year and occasionally two people send us a similar idea in the same season. If we publish something that resembles yours, it is not because we took it.
Declined submissions are deleted after twelve months. We keep a one-line record that we saw it, so a resubmission is not read cold by accident.
The
catalogue
Every title we publish is licensed from the author or their estate for a seven-year term, after which rights revert automatically. We do not hold life-of-copyright audio rights in anything.
Every recording is performed by a human narrator who was paid a session fee and holds a royalty. No title in our catalogue has been synthesised in whole or in part, and our contracts prohibit our recordings being used to train or fine-tune a voice model.
This is a
demonstration
Longform Audio is a fictional publisher. It has no staff, no premises and no catalogue, and every title, author, narrator and review quotation on this site is invented. It was built by Omnify Labs to demonstrate design and build quality.
The terms above are written as a working example of what a real independent publisher would put here.
