Who we are. Longform Audio, Unit 4, Bellinger Yard, Jamaica Street, Bristol BS2 8JP, is the data controller. Questions go to hello@longformaudio.co.uk.
This website collects nothing. There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel, no embedded video, no third-party font and no social widget. Fonts, images and stylesheets are served from our own domain. Nothing is stored in your browser and no cookie is set, which is why there is no cookie banner — not because we have hidden one.
What you send us. If you email or use the contact form we hold your name, address and message. Submissions additionally mean we hold your manuscript pages and whatever you told us about rights. Narrator enquiries mean we hold your samples.
Why. To reply to you and, where it goes further, to publish your book or record with you. That is our legitimate interest in running a publishing business, and a contract once one exists.
How long. General enquiries: twelve months. Submissions we declined: twelve months, then the manuscript is deleted — we keep only a one-line record that we saw it, so that a resubmission is not read cold by accident. Narrator samples: three years, because we come back to them. Contracts and accounts: seven years, for tax.
Who else sees it. Our email is hosted in the EU and our accountant sees invoices. Nobody else. We do not sell data, we do not share it for marketing, and we have never bought a mailing list.
Your manuscript is not training data. We do not put submissions, contracted texts or narrator recordings into any machine-learning system, ours or anybody else’s, and our contracts prohibit it downstream.
Your rights. Ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object. We reply within a calendar month and there is no charge. If you are unhappy with how we have handled it you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
This is a demonstration site. Longform Audio is a fictional publisher and this site was built by Omnify Labs to demonstrate design and build quality. The contact form validates your input and then does nothing with it — nothing is transmitted, received or stored anywhere. The notice above describes how a live version would operate.
